RUSSIA

Our Forecast: 17 February 2011 - Russia is likely to lift its wheat export ban in July 2011 due to relatively better harvest expectations.

Outcome: On 28 May 2011, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said that the government would revoke a ban on wheat exports from 1 July.

TURKEY

Our Forecast: 17 September 2010 - Violent risks in south-eastern Turkish towns and Istanbul will increase in the coming weeks, following the killing of PKK figures.

Outcome: On 31 October 2010, a suicide bomb attack in Taksim Square in Istanbul injured 32 people.
