Companies working in the oil and gas sector face unique challenges due to both the scale of operations and exposure to a wide variety of ‘above-ground’ risks. We have developed a suite of tools for our clients to leverage our understanding of the local environment at various stages of projects – from initial project evaluation and counter-party assessment through to streamed current intelligence to support intelligence-led operational risk management.

In order to support decision making about your operations wherever you are, we deliver evidence-based forecasts on political and violent risks. We do this on the basis of an intelligence network and infrastructure that identifies the key risks and opportunities on a sector, region and client specific basis.

We help clients identify risks and opportunities prior to entering a country or a deal, assess the likelihood and cost of business interruption to existing investments and assets, advise on capital re-investment & portfolio diversification and support on-going strategic planning and crisis management.

Exclusive Analysis Client Case Study:
As part of an internal analysis process, the Head of Security at an international oil company commissioned a report to evaluate terrorism threat against their assets in light of a rapidly deteriorating risk environment in a North African country. The report analysed the active terrorist groups, examined their` ideology and language and associated target selection. Our Middle East team also carried out an analysis of the intent and operational capabilities of each violent group and the risk that they posed to the infrastructure, head office building, personnel and associated supply chain. The report was used as an input into board- level contingency planning and to support changes to its short term strategic planning of operations and medium term expansion plans.
